Post Cisco 1800 series router problem

Hello there. I am a newbie in networking and configuration of routers. I have a problem regarding a cisco 1800 router. I am suppose to reset the username and password of the router using the Windows XP hyperterminal when I accidentally typed the GIO ASIC version 0x127 and then reset it.

I entered the ff commands:

rommon 1 > confreg 0x127

You must reset or power cycle for new config to take effect
rommon 2 > reset

when i pressed the enter key these are the output displayed:

I already restarted the router but still it displayed special characters.

Is there any solution for this problem? I need help from you guys.

Thank you in advance.

It probably changed the line speed to 115200. Just set your terminal program to that speed (rather than 9600) and then re-connect. More info:

Thank you for the info but my hyperterminal configuration is ok. Here are my configs:

Bits per second: 9600
Data Bits:8
Parity:None
Stop Bits:1
Flow Control: None

Still I have that unreadable output. Is my commands on resetting the password right?
